Inter forward Joaquin Correa could be dealing with a fitness issue, as he has been training separately from the rest of the Argentine national team squad.

This according to Argentine broadcaster TyC Sports, who report that the 27-year-old’s condition will be evaluated soon and more should be known in the coming hours.

Correa has been with the Argentine national team during the international break, starting their World Cup qualifier against Paraguay before coming on as a substitute against Uruguay on Sunday.

However, he may miss the Albiceleste’s last qualifier against Peru on Thursday night and could be a doubt for an immediate return to action at club level when he is back from the international break.

It remains to be seen what the tests will reveal about the Argentine’s condition, but Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will be hoping that the problem keeping him out of full training right now is not too serious and that he can be available for selection at Inter soon.
