Former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi believes that Inter’s opponents on Saturday Lazio could have a tough time against the Nerazzurri.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, Tacchniardi gave the view that the Biancocelesti could be a favourable tactical match for Inter, and that they will be struggling with coming back from a 3-0 loss against Bologna before the international break.

Simone Inzaghi will take on his old side when the Nerazzurri travel to face Lazio in their first Serie A match back after the international break, and they will be expecting a tough clash with a direct rival.

The Biancocelesti have enjoyed a positive start to the season including an important derby win against Roma, but their last match before the break saw them fall to a heavy defeat against Bologna.

Tacchniardi believes that this, as well as the tactical style of Maurizio Sarri’s side in comparison to how Inter will set up, will make the match a difficult one for Lazio.

“In the derby the qualities of Immobile were well-suited, but Inter will not give open space like Roma did,” he explained. “I have the feeling that Inter will strike on the counter. For self-confidence I think it is more difficult for Lazio, after the match against Bologna.”
