Inter striker Lautaro Martinez could be available to start for the Nerazzurri in their Serie A clash with Lazio on Saturday.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello SPort, who report that coach Simone Inzaghi is hoping to be able to rely on the 24-year-old for the fixture.

Inter’s South American players look set for late returns from international duty, with Martinez and fellow Argentine Joaquin Correa set to only be back late on Friday, the day before the match against Lazio, with the club chartering a flight to get them to Rome as soon as possible.

Inzaghi will look to start one of the Argentine pair based on who he feels is ready to play, and Martinez will be the favourite, according to the Corriere.

The coach will see the trip to face Lazio as an important match against a direct rival, and will want to be able to rely on Martinez in attack.
