Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and defender Stefan de Vrij are targets for Premier League club Newcastle United.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri duo are of interest to the Magpies who are looking to make signings under their new ownership.

Brozovic is out of contract at the end of June 2022, and finding a renewal agreement with the 28-year-old is a priority for the Nerazzurri, but Newcastle could attempt to hijack the negotiations as they are interested in the player.

The Premier League side could look to make a wage offer which exceeds anything the Nerazzurri could realistically match in the hopes of persuading the player on a move.

Meanwhile, de Vrij could also be on his way out at the club next summer, with the Dutchman’s agent Mino Raiola having sounded out interest on a Premier Legaue move last summer already, and he could make the switch to the Magpies.
