AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie’s agent George Atangana has denied having spoken to Inter about a possible summer move for the Ivorian.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, the agent explained that he has not proposed a move for his client to any clubs.

Kessie’s current contract with the Rossoneri is set to expire at the end of June 2022, and he has not yet agreed on a renewal with the club so could leave during the next summer transfer window as a free agent.

The Nerazzurri are among the rumoured destinations for the 24-year-old should he depart from AC Milan, with reports having suggested that his agent has proposed the possibility of the switch in talks with Inter.

However, Atangana has denied these reports and made clear that he doesn’t feel that he would need to try to engineer a move for Kessie as the player’s quality speaks for itself.

Asked whether he had proposed a summer switch to Inter he stated, “A footballer of Franck’s calibre does not need to be proposed to anyone. And in any case, I’ve never talked to Inter.”

“For too long, the same things have been said incorrectly,” he emphasized. “I feel sorry for those who read them, believing them to be true.”
