Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi could opt to play a 3-5-1-1 formation during the Nerazzurri’s match against Lazio on Saturday.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who suggest that the coach could return to the tactical system which he used on the opening day against Genoa to try and get past his difficulties in attacking options.

It remains a doubt whether the Nerazzurri will be able to call upon key South American attacking players, and in particular the coach will be awaiting the availability of first-choice striker Lautaro Martinez.

However, the Italian tactician could opt not to use any of his South American attacking options and instead revert to a similar system to the one used against Genoa, in which Stefano Sensi played as an attacking midfielder off of Edin Dzeko who led the line.

Sensi looks close to a full recovery from the knee injury which ruled him out of the last several matches, but he is still a major doubt to appear against Lazio, though the coach could also play other options in his squad in a similar role.
