Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has returned from the international break not at full fitness and is now a doubt for the Lazio fixture, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
As has been reported by Sky Sport, the ex-AC Milan attacking midfielder was away with the Turkish national team helping their efforts to qualify for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
He has since returned to Italy and trained with the whole group on Thursday but did not seem to appear at 100% physical condition which will be a major worry to Simone Inzaghi.
He will have to be reassessed tomorrow to see what level of involvement he can have with the match at the Stadio Olimpico.
Simone Inzaghi may be lacking many of his attacking options and Hakan Calhanoglu was a very serious option to partner Edin Dzeko at the top of the pitch, but that may now not be possible.
