The sporting director of Siena has tipped Inter to win the Serie A title again this season but believes Juventus will get themselves back in the picture, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with TMW, Giorgio Perinetti explained that Juventus always find a way to win the title even if they have had a poor start to the season, but still thinks Inter will come out on top.

“Allegri’s soft starts are as famous as the comebacks. I see Juventus as the protagonist for this championship. Even if my favourite is Inter.”

Discussing the strikers that are the hot property in Italy right now, Giorgio Perinetti explained that he thinks there are more suitors for Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic abroad than there are in Italy. He did stress though that Lorenzo Lucca and Lorenzo Colombo are worth following in Serie B.

“I see more foreign solutions than Italian ones. Due to its physical structure, Lucca had a late maturation. He and Colombo from SPAL are two profiles to follow.”

The sporting director also expressed concern at how common it is for players to leave on free transfers by choosing to run down their contracts, meaning the club gets no money.

“From Donnarumma and Calhanoglu is the new leitmotif. It is not clear why it is easy to negotiate when a player has a contract in place. We need greater cohesion between all parties, otherwise, it will get worse and worse.”
