Simone Inzaghi is highly unlikely to spring any surprises with the choice of his three central defenders for the Lazio match on Saturday evening, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.
As has been reported by Sky Sport, the three centre backs will be Stefan de Vrij, Milan Skriniar, and Alessandro Bastoni as is often the case.
The fact that all three of those players were heavily involved for their countries during the international break does not seem to be a deterrent for Simone Inzaghi who clearly has his favoured trio at the back.
Stefan de Vrij appears to have cemented himself as the partner to Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk in Louis Van Gaal’s Netherlands side so he had a successful break.
Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni did not fair as well as the former saw his Slovakia side’s hopes of going to the World Cup taken away, and Alessandro Bastoni was in the Italy team that were knocked out of the Nations League.
