The construction of a new stadium for Inter is one of the key factors that could decide whether Suning sell the club in the near future or not, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Libero, having a new purpose built stadium with a commercial area around it that is profitable for the team would make the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund more likely to meet Suning’s €1 billion valuation of the club.

Talks are reportedly still very much going between PIF and Suning as both parties are very open to doing a deal. Suning are very wedded to their price tag though so it may take the asset changing for PIF to meet it.

Even though they have just purchased Premier League side Newcastle United, they still want Inter as they want to develop a network of teams like Manchester City’s owners have.
