Inter’s Chilean duo Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez are two of the highest paid players in the division despite their minimal output, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported as part of a study by Corriere della Sera, Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez earn over €7000 each minute due to being Inter players.

The figures are based on their salaries for the past two seasons and a third of the current campaign. In that period of time, Arturo Vidal has earned €9.3 million from the Nerazzurri, which equates to €7,416 per minute. In return Inter have received two goals in that time.

As for Alexis Sanchez, he has banked €16.3 million in just over two years, which comes to €7,732 a minute. He has managed 11 goals.

The figures are significant because they show why Inter are struggling financially. Players with minimal effect on the team are being overpaid for many years.
