Three of Inter’s South American players look set to land back in Italy much sooner than expected in a boost for Simone Inzaghi, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chilean duo Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal, as well as Matias Vecino, could be back in Italy by late Friday evening.

This gives them a much better chance of being available for Saturday evening’s Serie A fixture against Lazio because they were not expected to return until the Saturday morning, giving them almost no preparation time.

It is also thought that Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa will return from Argentina duty on Friday evening as well, meaning Simone Inzaghi will have more strikers available to him.

The players have been involved in three international matches during the break which could take its toll on their physical condition for the match.
