Former Inter and Lazio striker Julio Ricardo Cruz believes that Inter and Lazio will have the qualities to put on a good spectacle when the Nerazzurri travel to Rome this evening.

Speaking in Lazio’s official program for the match, as reported by FCInterNews, the Argentine singled out the two clubs’ strikers as being among the players to watch during the match.

Inter face one of their most significant challenges of the season so far when they come up against Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio side this evening, and they will know that they come up against a major test of their Scudetto credentials.

The Biancocelesti, meanwhile, have enjoyed some strong moments in the season already, but they ended on a sour note before the international break with a heavy defeat away at Bologna which they will be keen to put behind them with a convincing display against Inter.

“For me it will be a very good match,” Cruz stated, “especially because the teams are strong and the table is close so everything can change. Maurizio Sarri is a great coach, as is Simone Inzaghi, who did well as a player and as Lazio manager. I expect a good match with both teams who want to win, they will fight to do well and earn points in the standings.”

Cruz also noted the fact that Serie A’s two top scorers after seven matches Edin Dzeko and Ciro Immobile also meet each other this evening, and highlighted the significance of their personal duel.

“They are two very important strikers,” he stated. “Immobile has proved to be a very strong striker with incredible numbers. Meanwhile Dzeko is a player who had shown himself to be very good at Roma, and even more so now during these first matches with Inter having already scored several goals.”

“He arrived in Milan as a player of experience and quality,” he went on. “It will be tough for both of them, the defenders will have to be even more careful than in a normal match.”
