Chilean Inter duo Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal have been left out of the squad to face Lazio due to fatigue from their participation in the international break.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who highlight the decision by Simone Inzaghi to give the pair a rest following their matches with Chile and subsequent late arrival back in Italy.

All of Inter’s South American internationals returned late from the international break, but in the case of Argentines Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa and Uruguayan midfielder Matias Vecino, the players are included in the squad to face the Biancocelesti.

It is unclear the extent to which the three will participate at the Stadio Olimpico, with fitness and fatigue concerns potentially restricting them to appearances from the bench if they appear at all.

In the case of the Chileans, however, Inzaghi has decided not to include them in the squad altogether given that they returned latest of all and would have no chance of playing due to fatigue.
