Ivan Perisic is the likeliest candidate to start alongside Edin Dzeko in attack for Inter as Simone Inzaghi must make a last-minute decision on whether or not he can rely on Lautaro Martinez.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who include the Croat in their predicted starting eleven for the Serie A clash at the Stadio Olimpico, in addition to including Roberto Gagliardini in midfield.

Martinez returned from international duty yesterday evening, but having played as recently as Thursday night for the Albiceleste against Peru his availability for the Lazio match is a serious doubt.

As such, Inzaghi may have to make do without the 24-year-old unless he judges the player to be ready to start the match, and he could move Perisic into a forward position from his usual wing-back role.

Meanwhile, Calhanoglu picked up a bruise to his angle while with the Turkish national side, and Tuttosport suggest that Roberto Gagliardini could take his place in the lineup so that he can have a rest, though the Turk has been training with the squad since Thursday.

Tuttosport’s predicted eleven for the match is as follows:

INTER (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Darmian, Barella, Brozovic, Gagliardini, Dimarco; Perisic, Dzeko.
