Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is likely to be ready to play from the start in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico this evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who include the Argentine in their predicted eleven for the match alongside Edin Dzeko in attack.

Martinez played for Argentina on Thursday night, getting on the scoresheet for the Albiceleste’s only goal against Peru, but he has returned to Italy as promptly as was possible given the circumstances.

The 24-year-old arrived in Rome from international duty yesterday evening and slept in the city, while he is now with the team as they prepare for the match.

Nerazzurri manager Simone Inzaghi will have to make a last-minute decision as to whether the Argentine is ready to start the match, and if not then he could turn to Hakan Calhanoglu as an attacking midfielder behind Dzeko.

The Gazzetta’s predicted eleven for the match is as follows:

INTER (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Darmian, Barella, Brozovic, Gagliardini, Dimarco; Lautaro, Dzeko.
