Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is a long-term target for Inter CEO Beppe Marotta, but the Serbian midfielder’s signing would not be viable thanks to his price tag.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the 26-year-old is a player who Marotta greatly admires, but that he is out of the Nerazzurri’s price range.

Milinkovic-Savic has impressed since joining the Biancocelesti from Genk in the summer of 2015, becoming a key player in the Italian capital, with his form this season underlining how important he is to the team.

The Serb is a target for a number of top clubs including Inter’s major Italian rivals Juventus who are reportedly considering a swoop for him next summer, but Marotta also would like to bring him in.

However, for the time being at least it is very unlikely that Inter would be able to move for the Lazio midfielder due to the cost involved.
