Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi will not have time to dwell on the difficult loss to Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico, and will have to immediately turn his attention to Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Sheriff Tiraspol.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who note that the coach and his team will have very little time to process the loss with another important challenge just around the corner.

Inter experienced a whirlwind of emotions as they saw a first-half lead and a solid performance overturned by a resurgent Biancocelesti display to which they had no answer.

This will have been doubly the case for Inzaghi, who was facing the team he’d spent 22 years with as a player and then coach for the first time as an opponent with his new club.

The loss will be difficult to take, especially being the team’s first in Serie A this season, but there is little time to take in the lessons of the match during the packed schedule.

Inter host Sheriff on Tuesday, and they will feel that they must make a statement and beat the Moldovan as they are winless after two rounds in the group stage, and will be desperate to avoid exiting from Europe’s top competition before the knockout rounds for the fourth season in a row.
