Inter are targeting the likes of Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic and Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette as possible replacements for Alexis Sanchez should the Chilean depart in January.

This according to Italian journalist Niccolo Ceccarini, who reported in his column for TuttoMercatoWeb that the Real Madrid man in particular could represent a market opportunity for the Nerazzurri in January.

Sanchez is still thought to be unsettled at the Nerazzurri following a social media outburst a few weeks, and he could be on his way out should an agreement be found.

If Sanchez is to leave the club then Inter will immediately move to bring in another attacking player, and Jovic is a long-term target who could be brought in given that he is out of favour in the Spanish capital and could be allowed to leave the Bernabeu on a loan deal.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s Lacazette is another player admired at the club who could be allowed to leave his current team during the January window.

“Lacazette and Jovic are also in the sights of Marotta and Ausilio,” Ceccarini writes. “Especially the latter could be an opportunity. The Serbian striker, born in 1997, has very little space at Real Madrid. The Spanish club is ready to let him go on loan in the winter transfer market, and Inter are ready to seize the opportunity.”
