Marcelo Brozovic showed why he is an important player for Inter despite the Nerazzurri’s defeat at the hands of Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico yesterday.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who awarded the Croat a score of 7/10 in their player ratings for the Serie A clash.

Brozovic has become an important player for the Nerazzurri, and his display against the Biancocelesti underlined why the club are hoping to tie him down to a new deal soon.

The 27-year-old looked composed and showed his range of passing and positional sense to keep his team in the midfield battle with the Biancocelesti’s impressive starting trio.

Meanwhile, the performances by the three central defenders and Edin Dzeko were named as a low point of the Nerazzurri’s match at the Olimpico, with Dzeko, Alessandro Bastoni, and Milan Skriniar all being given 5/10 score, and Stefan de Vrij rated little better with 5.5/10.
