Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt could miss out on the Bianconeri’s trip to the San Siro to face Inter on Saturday, with the Dutchman having picked up a muscle injury.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 22-year-old will miss the Bianconeri’s match against Roma this evening and could also be ruled out of further matches.

De Ligt has had an adductor strain identified which will keep him out of the Bianconeri’s clash with the Giallorossi but the extent of the problem has yet to be determined.

The defender will be further evaluated in view of the upcoming trip to Russia to face Zenit St. Petersburg in the Champions League as well as the match next Sunday against Inter in Serie A.

The Nerazzurri will be following the situation to see if they will face a Juventus team who are without one of their key defenders in the major head-to-head clash.
