Inter are set to see the returns of two key squad members to the starting eleven for their crucial Champions League clash with Sheriff Tiraspol in the form of Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the duo are favourites to play from the start having only managed to make substitute appearances against Lazio.

Martinez made a late return from international duty with Argentina and he was only deemed ready to start on the bench against the Biancocelesti, coming on in the second half.

However, the 24-year-old is likely to play from the start against Sheriff, as he will have had time to rest and is a first-choice option for the match in which the Nerazzurri must pick up points to keep their hopes in the Champions League alive.

Meanwhile, Calhanoglu did not start the clash with Lazio thanks to a bruise to his ankle but he should be ready to play from the start against Sheriff.

On the right side of the team coach Simone Inzaghi will choose between Denzel Dumfries and Matteo Darmian, while the likes of Ivan Perisic and Federico Dimarco are in contention to start on the left.
