Legendary former Inter goalkeeper Walter Zenga believes that the Nerazzurri must focus all their effort on tomorrow’s match against Sheriff Tiraspol before they turn their attention to the clash with Juventus on the weekend.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, the 61-year-old gave the view that his former team cannot underestimate the threat posed by the Moldovan side, and must be adequately prepared for the match.

The head-to-head clash is one of the most significant matches of the Serie A calendar, and could have major ramifications at the top end of the Serie A table which will make it a very widely anticipated clash.

Sheriff Tiraspol, by contrast, are not a side who many fans will have had much familiarity with, and the Moldovans were seen as major outsiders in their Champions League group at the start of the season.

However, the Champions League new boys earned shock wins against Shakhtar Donetsk and Real Madrid which see them top of their group, and the Nerazzurri must take the task of hosting them tomorrow as seriously as hosting the Bianconeri.

Asked about the Juventus clash, Zenga stated that “Meanwhile, there’s the Sheriff. First comes the Champions League, which is important. Match after match, we’ll see whether they will be able to succeed.”
