Inter defender Aleksandar Kolarov has received a €10,000 fine for a gesture made towards Lazio fans during the second half of the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with the Biancocelesti on Saturday.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Serbian defender was deemed to have made a vulgar gesture towards opposition fans, while Lazio defender Luiz Felipe was handed a one-match suspension for his misguided post-match joke with former teammate Joaquin Correa.

The clash at the Stadio Olimpico was a bad-tempered one, with the two sets of players confronting one another after the Biancocelesti’s second goal.

Several yellow cards were handed out in the ensuing arguments, but it has been left until the judgment of the Sports Judge in Italy to determine the extent of post-match punishment.

Kolarov was deemed to have made an offensive gesture towards the Biancocelesti supporters from the bench, and for this he received a fine.

Meanwhile, the Sports Judge settled on a one-match ban for Felipe who jumped on the shoulders of former teammate Correa as though celebrating, an action which Correa was annoyed by and which saw the Brazilian sent off after the match had finished.
