Italian journalsit Maurizio Compagnoni believes that Inter have been having difficulties with managing the full ninety minutes in their matches.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, the journalist spoke about the issues that the team have had with remaining consistent throughout entire matches.

Inter have shown flashes of quality in all of their games this season, even when they have failed to win, but in the matches where they have dropped points they have tended to look as though they failed to control certain moments.

The loss to Lazio on the weekend illustrated this problem well, with Simone Inzaghi’s men taking an early lead and appearing to be in control for long spells but crumbling in the last half hour to allow the Biancocelesti to turn the clash around.

Compagnoni believes that this is an issue that can be worked on as the team grows, but that for now it is a significant issue.

“Inter scores a lot in the league,” he stated, :the Champions puts pressure on, but there is also a lot of randomness. At the moment Inter have a problem of continuity within the the same games.”

“This is a probable consequence of the change of coach,” he went on, “same formation but different interpretation. If at Christmas the problems are the same, Inzaghi will have to worry. But I think it’s a problem that can be solved in the short term.”
