Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is set to be ready to play in the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Juventus on Sunday, with his recovery going well and soon to be complete.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Turk is expected to be at full fitness in time for the key head-to-head with the Bianconeri.

Calhanoglu was left out of the squad for yesterday evening’s Champions League clash with Sheriff Tiraspol as coach Simone Inzaghi wanted to give him a rest in view of the match against Juventus on the weekend.

The 27-year-old had picked up a bruise to his ankle while on international duty with Turkey and was given a rest so that he could fully commit to his recovery, but he looks to have gotten past the issue as he is in regular training and no more scans are scheduled for the problem.
