Inter defender Federico Dimarco put in another solid display against Sheriff Tiraspol in yesterday evening’s Champions League clash at the San Siro, but was unfortunate to be taken off because he was on a booking.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who award the 23-year-old a score of 7/10 in their player ratings for the match.

Dimarco had started in the left-sided centre-back role ahead of Alessandro Bastoni, and he gave a good account of himself as part of an overall fluid team display, but he was booked for giving away the free kick which led to Sheriff’s second half equalizer and so manager Simone Inzaghi decided to replace him with Bastoni.

Meanwhile, Edin Dzeko is deemed to have been the Nerazzurri’s best performer on the night, being given an 8/10 score and praised for his technical quality and tactical intelligence leading the line.

Arturo Vidal and Ivan Perisic were also given high marks for their displays, with 7.5/10 and 7/10 scores respectively awarded to the standout performers.
