Inter’s Serie A clash with Juventus on Sunday will be officiated by referee Maurizio Mariani, who has been appointed as head referee for the match.

This is confirmed in an official announcement, via TuttoMercatoWeb, which also confirms the entire team of official for the major head-to-head clash at the San Siro.

Mariani will be the referee for the match, while the likes of Filipo Meli and Giorgio Peretti will be the two assistant referees, and Giovanni Ayroldi will act as the fourth official.

In the VAR booth, Marco Guida will be assisted by Matteo Passeri, and the two will work to ensure that any significant errors made by the on-pitch officials are corrected.

Mariani officiated the second leg of the Nerazzurri’s Coppa Italia semi-final against Juventus in February, and he earned praise for getting the major decisions right and handling the match well, and the teams will hope that he can put in a similar display on Sunday as well.
