Sheriff Tiraspol striker Bruno da Silva still believes that his side can get a result against Inter in the Champions League.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport prior to yesterday’s Champions League clash at the San Siro in an interview published in yesterday’s print edition, the Brazilian gave the view that the Moldovan side could get something from their clashes with Inter despite not having the quality that the Nerazzurri do.

Inter beat Sheriff 3-1 yesterday, showing all their quality and determination to get the better of a team who had beaten both Shakhtar Donetsk and Real Madrid, but the Moldovans did have positive moments and had even managed to equalize early in the second half.

Bruno’s confidence prior to the match reflects the attitude that has carried Sheriff through the qualification process and saw them top their group going into the match at the San Siro.

The Moldovans are still joint top of the group with Real Madrid, two points ahead of Inter, and they will still feel that they can take a result away from their home clash with the Nerazzurri, something that Simone Inzaghi’s team must watch out for.

“I’ve been impressed by Lautaro and Calhanoglu,” Bruno said. “They are superior to us, but anything can happen.”

The Brazilian also weighed in on the Scudetto race, stating that “In Serie A I like Milan.”
