Inter are close to agreeing on a new deal with defender Federico Dimarco, with only the last details remaining to be determined on the renewal.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the contract extension will be worth around €1.5 million net per season plus add-ons, and that the length is yet to be finalized.

Dimarco returned to the Nerazzurri this summer from a two-season loan spell with Hellas Verona, and he has cemented a place for himself in Simone Inzaghi’s first-team plans, both from the start and from the bench.

The 23-year-year-old is set to be given a new deal which reflects his newfound importance at the club and secures his future, with his current deal set to expire at the end of June 2023.

The extension should take the defender to either 2025 or 2026 when the agreement comes, while his wages will be increased from €1 million net per season to €1.5 million net rising to around €2 million with add-ons.
