Inter have doubts over the suitability of Lorenzo Insigne in their current squad and may not make a move for the Italian, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FcINternews today, there is not an obvious space for Lorenz Insigne in Inter’s current 3-5-2 system, which Simone Inzaghi and the squad are very much wedded to.

The Napoli man is much more of a wide forward and Inter do not play with the need for a player of his profile. He would only be of use to Inter if he could adapt and play as a second striker with Edin Dzeko.

This will not happen though as Inter already have Lautar Martinez, who is about to sign a new deal, and Joaquin Correa who only just joined the club, there to play that role.

That is why the club will prioritise finding a replacement/backup for the 35-year-old Edin Dzeko.
