An Italian journalist has suggested that there will be no imminent negotiations between Lorenzo Insigne and Inter, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Whilst speaking on Radio Marte, Luca Marchetti discussed the fact that Lorenzo Insigne’s agent had been seen attending a meeting at Inter’s headquarters, possibly to discuss a move for his player to the Nerazzurri.

Luca Marchetti has played down the agent’s appearance at Inter’s headquarters, suggesting that if he was there to discuss such an important topic, it would not be made so easy for him to be spotted.

“If there should be an expression of interest in such a delicate moment for such an important player, it is not done in the light of the sun and you get caught by the cameras.”

The journalist went on to say that this does not mean there will be no movement at all between Lorenzo Insigne and Inter, but there is unlikely to be any significant developments very soon.

“This does not mean that Inter are not interested in Insigne, but I would rule out a negotiation for now. From what we know, there was no chat for Insigne yesterday.”

Lorenzo Insigne will be out of contract with his current team, Napoli, in June 2022 so he will be available to any team on a free transfer.
