Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has shown his excitement ahead of facing Inter on Sunday evening in Serie A, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking on television to Sky Sport after Juventus’ Champions League win over Zenit St. Petersburg on Wednesday night, Leonardo Bonucci explained that their focus must switch to the big game against Inter on Sunday.

“Now we just have to put aside this important victory and recover, a great match awaits us on Sunday. Even winning 1- 0 is important.”

Juventus have now won their last four games 1-0 which shows that Massimiliano Allegri has got his side defending incredibly well, so Inter must take their chances when they come along.

Leonardo Bonucci was also asked about how different Juventus are now that Cristiano Ronaldo has left the club to rejoin Manchester United in the Premier League. Many believe that the Bianconeri look like more of a settled team without the Portuguese superstar.

“It’s absolutely true. In the recent past we had lost this characteristic from Juve, we were playing with a great champion like Cristiano Ronaldo and we wanted to put him in a position to always do well, thinking he could solve all the games. This year we are finding the right humility that is needed to regain victory.”

Cristiano Ronaldo also played in the Champions League last night, scoring Manchester United’s third goal as they came from behind to beat Atalanta.
