Former AC Milan player Alessandro Costacurta has suggested that Inter are currently a better team than Juventus who they face on Sunday evening, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking in the studios of Sky Sport, Alessandro Costacurta explained that the project that Inter are currently under has been going on longer than Juventus’, and that Simone Inzaghi has been a relatively seamless manager change.

“I see Inter a little further ahead than Juve for a number of reasons. The Nerazzurri’s project has been going on for longer. It is true that the coach has changed but Inzaghi is pursuing a path and a technical project already seen.”

Speaking specifically about Juventus, Alessandro Costacurta said that the Bianconeri have players that possess the quality to decide matches themselves, but he still has more confidence in Inter.

“Juventus are very confident at the moment, they have players who resolve matches, we must be wary of this kind of team, and yet I prefer Inter.”

The match on Sunday night at San Siro will be the biggest that the two sides have taken part in so far this season. A win for Inter will create a big distance between them and Juventus, but a defeat would give Juventus a great chance of getting back in the title fight this season.
