Former Lazio midfielder Domenico Caso has been discussing the match between Inter and Juventus that will take place on Sunday night, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking to TMW ahead of the match, Domenico Caso explained that Inter have the players needed to hurt Juventus and he sees them as being ahead of Juventus so far this season.

“Inter have the qualities and the players to put Juve in difficulty. For the technical depth of the Nerazzurri, I see Inter still ahead of Juventus.”

Domenico Caso did add though that Max Allegri is clearly starting to get the kind of defensive solidity that he wants out of his team.

“Allegri has always said that the best defences win, he understood that he had to lock down the defence and he is on the right path.”

This upturn in form that Juventus has shown, of four wins in the last four league matches, has put them right back in the hunt for the Scudetto this season according to Domenico Caso.

“The Bianconeri are back in the championship fight, I have seen the last matches and also with Roma that perhaps did not deserve to lose. I noticed a changed Juve, more motivated, more attentive.”

The match at San Siro on Sunday will be Inter’s first sell-out since the coronavirus pandemic began and there will reportedly be 56,000 spectators inside the ground to cheer Inter on.
