Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal is the favourite to start in midfield in tomorrow’s Serie A clash with Juventus ahead of Hakan Calhanoglu and Matias Vecino.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Chilean’s impressive performance against Sheriff Tiraspol in midweek has put him ahead of his teammates in coach Simone Inzaghi’s thinking for the Bianconeri match.

Vidal bagged a goal and an assist against Sheriff in a must-win match for the Nerazzurri, capping off a fine performance on his return to the team.

Inzaghi could rely on the 34-year-old for tomorrow’s match after being impressed by his contributions against Sheriff in the Champions League.

Calhanoglu is still in contention for the start given that he is fit and his set piece ability remains a consideration, while Vecino is also a consideration for the coach, though Vidal could be the one to get the nod over his teammates.
