Inter will begin contract extension talks with midfielder Marcelo Brozovic after this week’s Serie A clash with Empoli.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are ready to go up to €5 million net per season in their wage offer to persuade the 28-year-old to stay.

Brozovic’s current deal is set to run out at the end of June of 2022 and finding an agreement on a renewal is a priority as the club do not want to lose a key player on a free transfer next summer.

The club are all ready to meet and begin talks on the potential extension, with the player and his father as well as their lawyer ready to meet with club directors in Milan to try and sort out an agreement which would see the Croat commit his future to the club he joined from Dinamo Zagreb in 2015.
