Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is prepared for a tough match against Juventus this evening, but he also knows that his team have to be able to good enough to win.

Speaking to InterTV before kickoff in the Serie A clash at the San Siro, the 27-year-old was confident ahead of the massive head-to-head with the Bianconeri.

Calhanoglu starts his first game for his club since the international break, having fully recovered from a minor ankle bruise which restricted him to an appearance from the bench against Lazio and ruled him out against Sheriff Tiraspol during the week.

The Turkish midfielder comes straight into the team for one of the most anticipated matches of the Nerazzurri’s season, with the Bianconeri one of the major rivals at the top of the Serie A table.

He knows that the match will be a tough one with both teams vying to catch up to AC Milan and Napoli at the summit but he believes that Inter can win.

“I’m excited because this match is important not only for us but for all the fans and the club,” he stated. “We have prepared well and I hope we will play a great game together to bring home the three points.”

The midfielder went on that “They did not start very well but we know that Juventus is always Juventus. They are strong, they have quality players, but we have prepared for the game well the past few days. We are ready, we are Inter and we know what to do on the pitch.”

He concluded that “We need 100% support for this match, the fans are our twelfth man and we are happy that they are back here. We hope to give them these three points.”
