Inter and Juventus could both be hoping for decisive contributions from players who have not yet shown their best on a consistent basis this season but whose talent is undeniable.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who suggest that the likes of Nerazzurri midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu and Bianconeri forward Paulo Dybala could both see the Serie A clash this evening as an opportunity to leave their mark on a big occasion.

Calhanoglu has yet to really show his best form on a consistent basis since joining Inter from AC Milan in the summer, and there is a chance that he will not be in the starting eleven this evening should coach Simone Inzaghi opt for the solidity of Arturo Vidal or Matias Vecino in midfield.

Should the Turk play, from the start or from the bench, he will see the match as an opportunity to show that his passing and vision can be decisive against even the toughest opponents.

This evening’s match will also represent an opportunity to announce a return to form for Juventus forward Dybala, who missed out on last weekend’s clash with Roma as he completed his recovery but is expected to be back in the squad.

The Argentine had missed all four matches against the Nerazzurri between the league and cup last season, but the season prior to that he had scored in both vital head-to-heads as the Bianconeri held off the Nerazzurri for the Scudetto.

Like Calhanogly, Dybala has not always been considered a reliable player, but he can also be the player who turns a game, and both teams will hope that if they call on either that their contributions will prove decisive.
