Inter are interested in Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek in January, but the Dutchman prefers a move to Real Madrid.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Nerazzurri and city rivals AC Milan could go head to head for the former Ajax midfielder but that he prefers a switch to the Spanish capital.

Van de Beek looks to be out of favour at Old Trafford, having had his appearances limited since joining the club in the summer of 2020.

He could be on his way out as early as January, and the Nerazzurri are tracking his situation having considered him a target on multiple occasions in the past.

Inter could still go in for him, as could the Rossoneri, although for the moment the player is reportedly waiting to see whether a move to the Bernabeu could materialize as this would be the option he is most interested in.
