Inter players will know that this evening’s Serie A clash with Juventus at the San Siro is a massive occasion and that a performance and a result are virtually necessary from the match.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazurri will feel the pressure building with fans lending the team their support ahead of the vital head-to-head match.

Yesterday the team were greeted by around a hundred supporters outside the training ground, who stopped for photographs and autographs ahead of the widely-anticipated match, while at the San Siro there will be roughly 56,000 fans in attendance to produce an intense atmosphere for the fixture.

The match between the Nerazzurri and the Biancocelesti is always a significant occasion in Italina football, but even moreso this season.

Inter have taken some of the pressure off of themselves in the Champions League with a win over Sheriff Tiraspol, but in Serie A both they and Juventus still sit several points behind league leaders Napoli and AC Milan.

Both sets of players will know that getting a result out of today’s match is virtually a necessary, and that the circumstances mean that there is no margin for error.
