Inter have shown strong home form for some time now, and they will hope that this can play a major factor in their clash with Juventus at the San Siro this evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who highlight the significance of the Nerazzurri’s record at the San Siro as they prepare to host the Bianconeri in Serie A.

Inter’s last league loss at the San Siro was in October 2020, when they fell to a 2-1 defeat against AC Milan in the derby, and since then they have enjoyed an unbeaten run, one which included twenty consecutive league victories.

The winning run was bookended by 2-2 defeats, against Parma last October and against Atalanta last month, and shows that the team can still consider their home ground to be something of a fortress.

On the other hand, the Bianconeri responded to the Nerazzurri’s key league win at the San Siro in January by knocking them out of the Coppa Italia, beating them at the San Siro along the way.

The Nerazzurri will be hoping that this evening’s head-to-head goes more the way of their decisive league win in January, a key moment in their Scudetto run, rather than the Bianconeri’s Coppa win.
