Legendary former AC Milan coach Fabio Capello believes that Inter have the right qualities to stay in the Scudetto race this season.
Sepaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia following the Nerazzurri’s 1-1 draw against Juventus, the former Rossoneri manager gave the view that the Nerazzurri are showing their ability to win Serie A again.
Inter are now seven points behind joint-league leaders AC Milan and Napoli, while their draw with the Bianconeri keeps them three points ahead of the Turin side.
The Nerazzurri will feel the pressure to defend last season’s Scudetto crown and see the gap to make up at the very top as significant, but Capello is of the view that they have started to show that they can do it.
He still believes that the Partenopei are the team with the best Scudetto credentials at this point in the season, but he is also impressed by Inter.
“I see Inter more than ever in the running for the Scudetto,” he stated. “Napoli remain in any case in my opinion the most dangerous team.”
