Inter remain frustrated with the penalty that was awarded to Juventus in the clash with the Bianconeri at the San Siro yesterday evening.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri players and directors remain disappointed and still feel that the decision to award the spot kick came about from inconsistency with VAR.

Juventus were awarded the penalty after a clumsy challenge by Nerazzurri wing-back Denzel Dumfries made contact with the leg of Alex Sandro, though the referee had initially waved play on following the incident.

However, VAR advised the official to have a closer look at the challenge, and upon review he deemed it worthy of a penalty, with Juventus finding their equalizer from the ensuing spot kick and the two teams sharing the points.

The Nerazzurri feel, however, that penalties have not been given by VAR in a number of similar incidents, and wish for clarity on the usage of VAR in Serie A.
