Former Inter defender Fabio Galante believes that the Nerazzurri are part of a four-way race for the Scudetto along with AC Milan, Juventus, and Napoli.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio Amore Campania, the 47-year old gave the view that while the Partenopei are deservedly at the top of the table, the Nerazzurri have what it takes to catch up to them as do the two other main rivals.

Inter have gotten their Scudetto defense off to a decent start, but they still sit seven points behind league leaders Napoli and Milan.

The Nerazzurri still have plenty of time to catch up to the teams at the top of the table, however, and Galante believes that their quality, and that of Juventus who sit three points behind Inter, is enough to keep pace at the top end of the table.

“Napoli are doing incredible things, at the beginning of the season no one expected such a positive run from them,” he said. “The season is long, but Napoli, Milan, Inter and Juventus remain the candidates for the title.”

Of the best footballer he has ever come across, Galante named “Ronaldo, with whom I played.”

And on his strongest opponents, the former defender named “Batistuta, Shevchenko, Crespo, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Baggio, there were very many. In my day the ones like Vieri, Inzaghi, Vialli, Mancini were different types. Inzaghi was the most annoying to deal with, with VAR they would be called offside more.”
