Inter will be relying on striker Lautaro Martinez to be back to his best when they travel to Tuscany to face Empoli this evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that despite the Argentine not having scored in his last three games the club will expect to see the “real Lautaro Martinez” in their Serie A clash with the newly promoted side.

Martinez was not able to make an impact off the bench against Lazio, while against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Champions League he hit the post and forced good saves from the opposition goalkeeper.

Against Juventus on Sunday the Argentine struggled to get going in attack, and the club will be hoping that this is a one-off and that he shows his quality and the prolific scoring form from the earlier part of the campaign as they come up against Empoli.
