Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will look to rest some of his regular starting eleven in this evening’s Serie A clash with Empoli, with the likes of Nicolo Barella, Edin Dzeko, and Stefan de Vrij set to drop to the bench.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the coach will likely turn to Matias Vecino, Andrea Ranocchia, and Alexis Sanchez for the Nerazzurri’s trip to Tuscany.

Sanchez has not yet started for Inter this season, but he could be given a chance to proven his chance from the start against Empoli, with Sky predicting that the Chilean will be played alongside Lautaro Martinez as Dzeko is given a rest.

Meanwhile, Ranocchia is another player who has so far been restricted to appearances from the bench during this campaign but looks set to take the place of de Vrij in the starting eleven.

Lastly, Vecino looks ready to make his return to the starting eleven, with Barella the last of the major starters who Inzaghi will look to preserve from fatigue during the clash withe the newly promoted team.
