Inter forward Alexis Sanchez showed against Empoli that he can still be a player that positively influences Inter’s form, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the performance of the Chilean forward may have given the directors at Inter a headache as they seek to make a decision on his future.

He currently earns €7 million per season at Inter which makes him the second highest earning player in the squad. His contribution to the team has not reflected that wage and the club are keen to sell him in January to save money.

The assist he produced for Danilo D’Ambrosio’s opener and his overall display showed though that he still has the quality to help Inter when the squad is rotated.

The main question for the club is whether he can stay fit enough to produce that performance on a regular basis.
