Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has already put pen to paper on his new Inter contract which will not contain a release clause, according to a report in the Argentinian media today.

As has been tweeted by Tyc Sports journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, all that is missing now is the official announcement from the club that the Argentine will be extending his stay with the Nerazzurri.

Inter have been in discussions for weeks now with Lautaro Martinez and his entourage to try and extend his contract and that agreement has been reached and will keep him at the club until 2026.

It is expected to be announced in the coming days and the €111 million release clause that is in the striker’s current contract has been removed entirely. This means there is no limit on the fee Inter could sell him for in the future.

The forward is central to Inter’s project going forward.
