Inter President Steven Zhang has expressed his pride at the work he and his colleagues have done for Inter since Suning’s takeover in 2016, according to a report in the Italian media.
As has been reported on Inter’s official website, Steven Zhang feels that Inter’s Scudetto win in the 2020/21 season is a testament to the hard work that everyone at the club has undertaken.
“Winning our 19th Scudetto is a memorable achievement and reward for the amazing work done by the team and everyone at the club, as well as the incredible passion shown by the Nerazzurri fans, who had been waiting 11 years for this moment.”
Inter have become a much more modern club under the ownership of Suning over the past five years and Steven Zhang believes that the club is now more connected with every generation of fan all around the world.
“We have come a long way since we took over in 2016: Inter has become a global, successful, innovative club connected with the new generations around the world.”
The President then reiterated the difficulties that have been posed to the club thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic but assured fans that the overall aim is to keep the club financially stable and competitive in the difficult economic landscape that now exists.
“Our work and commitment are shown in the result, the club is back to win with a clearly defined vision.
“Within the extraordinary economic and social context created by the pandemic, the club’s financial stability and sustainability and keeping the team challenging at the highest level are the focal points of our strategy.”
